Hello and Welcome!

I would consider myself to be a man pursuing the Renaissance ideal. A person who is well rounded in both knowledge and skills. A person who is attempting to soak up as much of life as he can. A person that strives to live up to this rather interesting quote…

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”

— Robert Heinlein, Time Enough for Love

To that degree you can keep up with what I am doing by visiting the various pages I have in the right sidebar under the “Projects & Achievements” section.

Act 1 of my life’s play as an adult was as an adventurer and a photographer. I did school portrait photography for 8 years and spent my summers in the mountains of Colorado exploring and taking landscape shots. I also road tripped to all 48 contingent states mostly visiting our nation’s National Parks.

Act 2 of my life’s play has been to get married, move to Nebraska, have 4 kids, and start a painting business where I have 4 employees and we specialize in cabinet painting. Business is good even with many headaches. And life is good even with many trials.

Act 3 will probably have to do with building more businesses and educating my kids to my fullest ability.

Art, music, architecture, cooking, travel, reading, and a few other things are what I love about life. I share many of those interests with my wife and we are trying to instill those loves into our kids.

This website has evolved over time and will continue to evolve. It’s a place to record my thoughts, feelings, and what I’ve learned and hope to learn. Thanks for reading. Enjoy!
